Senior Lecturer

Lindsay is a Senior Lecturer in Urban Design and Community Planning.

Lindsay has four decades of expereince in academia, teaching and practising urban design. He is the author of numerous masterplans, design briefs and community plans for sustainable regeneration. He has worked extensively in the Yorkshire region and within Leeds. This includes running urban design workshops for a wide range of local authorities. He has written extensively on contemporary urban development in Leeds and West Yorkshire.

Research Interests

Lindsay's research interests include urban design theory and practice. Strategies for community engagement in Planning, Neighbourhood Plans. Urban design issues in Leeds City Centre and sustainable development in Lille, France. He was also written about, researched into and undertaken many international presentations on the economic, social and envrionmental impacts of the Incredible Edible community food growing project.
