Hannah's areas of interest concern licensing, event safety, crowd management and event law.

Hannah has also undertaken consultancy work in safety and licensing for a range of clients in the events sector including the Tour de Yorkshire, Tour de France, Deer Shed festival, Parklife, the 2012 Olympics, Mint festival, Festival No6 and Kendal Calling festival (to name a few!).

Research Interests

Hannah is currently working on her PhD which examines the interrelationship between youth culture, government policy and law.  Specifically, this involves examining the interface between youth culture, music venues, and analysing the impact that regulation and legislation has had on the availability of music venues. Analysis of licensing law and practice in the UK will be central to this research.
