About Jo NorryJo Norry is Director of Libraries and Learning Innovation, leading the service which manages the libraries, student IT support, development of students’ academic skills, and the support of learning systems and technologies, including the virtual learning environment, portal and e-portfolio.
Having worked in higher education for nearly 30 years, Jo has been at Leeds Beckett since 2000. Before joining Leeds Beckett, Jo worked at Sheffield Hallam University, Nene College (now University of Northampton) and York Minster. She is a qualified librarian, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals, and holds postgraduate qualifications in librarianship, human resource management and a Masters in Medieval English Literature from the University of Newcastle.
Jo has served as a member of the Executive Board of SCONUL (Society for College, National and University Libraries) and is currently an elected member of the Steering Group of the Northern Collaboration, the grouping of the 27 university libraries in the North of England.
