Research Interests

Liam’s research primarily explores the impact and efficacy of emerging media technologies, with a particular focus on Augmented Reality, to offer positive and meaningful experiences. Focusing on the expansion of active public participation and engagement in a range of settings, including public spaces, galleries and museums. This is manifested through both practical projects and academic writing, in the form of journal article, book chapters and conference presentations.

With a recent focus on the development of effective methodologies to assess the efficacy on technological interventions, and their ability to offer experiential value. This being of growing importance, both within and beyond academia, due to the exponential growth in interactions with and reliance on technologically mediated systems to entertain and educate people.
