About Sue Birch
Sue has been teaching English language for over 30 years and has worked at the British Councils in Greece, Belgium and Oman. She was Assistant Director of Studies in Muscat, Oman, where she introduced the RSA teacher training certificate.
Sue is a Principal Lecturer and academic lead for English Language Teaching in the Department of Languages. She is also the lead for short courses and has run a CPD teacher methodology course for state school teachers from Panama for the last 5 years. She was also the co-ordinator of the EFL pathway on the undergraduate Languages degree and developed the EFL route working on all 3 levels. Sue also supervised level 6 dissertations.
Sue currently teaches on the pre-sessional English course and the Classroom Practice module on the MA in English Language Teaching. She is course Leader of the Panama Bilingue teacher training course.
Sue has been involved in a small scale study of online teacher methodology development for Panama state school teachers.
