We offer a comprehensive programme of events and development activities focused on employability and building the skills needed for success in your future career. These include activities which are already integrated into your course, through to dedicated employability events. We also have a broad range of materials to help with all aspects of employability, from CV writing guidance right through to interview preparation. Through our Job Shop we also offer hundreds of work opportunities so that you can gain the hands-on experience that can set you apart.

Disability Services

Disability Advice

We positively welcome disabled students, including students with specific learning difficulties, mental health conditions and long-term health issues. Around 3000 of our students have identified themselves as having a disability or impairment that affects their studies. Our experienced disability advisers can discuss and facilitate reasonable adjustments that enable independent study, and advise on Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) applications if appropriate. We also have an accredited Disability Assessment Centre that can undertake your Needs Assessment as part of the DSA process.

If you are a disabled student it is important you contact Disability Advice before arriving at our University to discuss your support needs and ensure that your support is in place for the start of your course.

Student Money and Advice

We provide confidential specialist advice about student funding to current and prospective students. We can help you with general advice about budgeting, debt, welfare entitlement and about the financial implications of changing your course, withdrawing or taking time out from study.

International Student Support

We offer help and guidance relating to most aspects of your time at Leeds Beckett, including settling into life in the UK, immigration, employment, financial difficulties, childcare facilities and emotional support. Contact our International Student Advice Centre for support throughout your stay.
