Student Barometer

In order to help us to improve our services to you and future students, please spend 10 minutes filling in the Student Barometer Survey online. We would like to hear your feedback in our annual Student Barometer survey. This is your opportunity to have your say on your course and University experience.

We want to ensure that our students have a great experience and are getting the most from the course they are studying. That is why we are asking all 2nd years and all levels of International students to participate in the survey. The survey itself is run by an independent research company called i-Graduate, which means all your responses are completely anonymous and confidential.

If you are eligible to complete it, you should have already received an email with a link to your survey from independent research agency i-graduate who are conducting research on our behalf. This is your chance to tell us what you think about all aspects of University life such as the academic learning experience, the support services available and the University experience outside the class room.

Why should I fill it in?
We want to make sure our teaching, facilities and services work for you. Only you know what it’s really like to be a student on your course, therefore we ask for your feedback through surveys like this so you can let us know what we are doing well and where we can improve. The earlier you share your views with us the more likely it is you will directly benefit from improvements made in response to your feedback.

As a thank you for sharing your views we’d like to buy you a drink. Once you have completed your survey you’ll be able to collect a free drinks voucher from either of our Student Hubs or from The Gateway that can be used in our university cafes or shops*. When collecting your free drinks voucher we’ll also ask you which of three charities you’d like us to donate £1.00 to on your behalf, OPAL, Shelter or the International Red Cross.

As well as this, you can opt into the i-Graduate £1000 prize draw, or chose to have it donated to charity on your behalf.

Who should fill in the survey?

All undergraduate students in their second year of study (all level 5 and level 4 repeats) and all International Students.

How do I fill in the survey?

You can access the survey in two different ways and you'll need your student ID to get started, your personalised link is available via your My Beckett account or you can find it by logging on to your student email account - you will have been emailed a link to the survey from i-Graduate.

How long does it take?

The survey only takes about 10 minutes to complete and your feedback is completely confidential - the University cannot identify you from your response. Your feedback can help the University to improve our services to you and future students.

When do I need to fill it in by?

The survey closes on Friday 01 December 2017. All responses are confidential and anonymous, and will be used for research purposes only.

Why can’t I fill in this survey?

If you are a final year undergraduate student we will be asking you to complete our National Student Survey (NSS) early next year. If you are a postgraduate student, we will ask you to participate in the Postgraduate Teaching Experience Survey (PTES).
