Wireless
Why eduroam?
- eduroam is encrypted and much faster.
- eduroam only has to be set up the first time – after that it logs in automatically.
- Once you’re set up on eduroam, it should allow you to connect when you visit many other universities.
- You won’t need to log in to most journals and electronic databases when you’re on eduroam, as they’ll know you’re a Leeds Beckett student (or member of staff).
Leeds Beckett University offers a robust wireless service to our staff, students and visitors. This page contains information on how different types of users can get connected to Wi-Fi at our University.
The University offers two Wi-Fi services - eduroam and Guest Wi-Fi. All staff and students should use eduroam as this is a significantly better service. A connection can be established by entering your Leeds Beckett credentials, as outlined in detail in the appropriate user guides below.
If you need help:
Students can get help connecting to the Wi-Fi from Library staff in Sheila Silver and Headingley Libraries.
Staff can get help from the Staff IT Service Desks which can also be found at both the Sheila Silver and Headingley Campus Libraries.
