Therapeutic Play Skills (APAC)

Entry requirements

Applicants should have a second class honours degree or equivalent experience or training, such as within the work environment, where the applicant does not have a degree. Have a minimum of two years full time equivalent experience of working with children in some capacity. Applicants should have a work based placement, which may be the applicant's place of work and a PTUK approved Clinical Supervisor member, who must be in place before clinical work starts. Applicants will also need to evidence their Professional indemnity and public liability insurance cover. All suitable candidates will be required to attend an interview as part of the selection process (either at an introductory day or by telephone). Selection Criteria

We may use selection criteria based on your personal attributes; experience and/or commitment to the area of study. This information will be derived from your personal statement and reference and will only be used if you have met the general entry requirements.

IELTS

IELTS 6.0 with no skills below 5.5, or an equivalent qualification. The University provides excellent support for any applicant who may be required to undertake additional English language courses.

If you have recent relevant work experience and/or professional qualifications, we may be able to consider you for entry through our ‘Recognition of Prior Learning’ policy. Please ensure that you list both your qualifications and relevant work experience in your application.

All applicants should meet our standard entry requirements of GCSE grade C in English language and, where specified, Maths. Alternative qualifications such as functional skills are accepted in lieu of GCSEs for most courses.
