Applicants should either have at least a second class honours degree or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment. Your first degree must also have had a research training component. • Display an awareness of the role and duties of a health and safety practitioner and provide evidence to demonstrate this – you should demonstrate your motivation to seek out relevant learning opportunities and experiences to find out more about what health and safety practitioners do; this may include work experience, volunteering, shadowing, online research, webinars, IOSH meetings, professional websites, personal experience; you should be able to clearly demonstrate your learning from these experiences and be able to demonstrate that you understand the roles and responsibilities of the health and safety practitioner across a range of settings.

Applicants who have completed an IOSH accredited PGDip Health & Safety will be considered for advanced entry and will only need to complete a further 60 level 7 credit points.
