Entry requirements
Applicants should either have a HND, Foundation degree or an equivalent award of 120 level 5 credit points in the cognate subjects of Health Care, Nursing (Acute and Community), Health and Social Care, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Dietetics or Radiography or an award in a non-cognate subject supported by evidence of an aptitude for the subject applied for. Applicants who do not meet this academic requirement are advised to undertake the Professional Profile Development module in order to apply for recognition of prior (experiential) learning.
All students will normally be working, in paid or unpaid employment, within health and/or community care as students need to be able to reflect on their experience and relate theory with practice. All applicants should be able to evidence recent professional development/study; of working with different patient/client groups; awareness of current policies affecting the sector and potential implications for service delivery. International Applicants will be interviewed by telephone/skype to discuss this requirement with a member of the course team.

GCSEs
GCSE English Language at Grade 4 or above (Grade C for GCSEs taken before 2017) or equivalent. Key Skills Level 2, Functional Skills Level 2 and the Certificate in Adult Literacy are accepted in place of GCSEs.IELTS
IELTS 6.0 with no skills below 6.0. The University provides excellent support for any applicant who may be required to undertake additional English language courses.
