What you'll learn

Enhance your knowledge and expertise in core body systems that practitioners are required to assess, e.g. cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, neurological, musculoskeletal, head and neck etc.
Your studies will build upon the Advanced Health Assessment module to focus upon complexity and pathophysiology.
Develop the skills to build sustainable capacity and resources for health improvement. You'll aid the reduction of health inequalities by identifying priority community health needs and writing a business plan.
Develop autonomy in your professional and academic development in a specific area of practice that you have identified.
Develop autonomy in your professional and academic development in a specific area of practice that you have identified.
Increase your knowledge and skills in the prevention and control of infection in healthcare. This module will focus on exploring best practice in order to critique, evaluate and improve current practice.
This module aims to provide students with the opportunity to critique and evaluate the ethical and legal theories, principles and concepts that underpin current health and social care practice.
If you are a registered health professional, this module will allow you to achieve the required legal and professional standards to register as a Non-Medical Prescriber.
Achieve the required professional standards to be able to register as a non-medical prescriber. This module will be recorded with the Nursing and Midwifery Council/Health and Care Professions Council as applicable.
Critically reflect on your past experience, identifying future learning needs in the context of your role in shaping current health and social care policy and practice.
This module is an option if you are a professionally qualified nurse or other allied healthcare professionals caring for deteriorating patients, or patients at risk of acute physical deterioration within either primary or secondary care settings. You'll increase your knowledge, skills and understanding of the prevention, recognition and therapeutic management of the acutely ill adult patient.
This module is designed to support your work in the health and social care sector. It will introduce you to an advanced level of study in leadership and management from both theoretical and practice perspectives. You'll use critical reflection and synthesis in practice to evaluate theories, models and styles of leadership and management facilitates, and increase your confidence and competence.
