What you'll learn

Develop academic English language competence in the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing to prepare for undergraduate study.
Develop the appropriate mathematical skills, knowledge and understanding to progress onto a wide range of undergraduate courses. You will focus on real world problem solving and understand the language and methods of maths used in a UK Higher Education setting.
Enhance the four language skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking with a focus on research for an independent study related to your degree subject choice. You will learn to read critically and summarise, paraphrase, synthesise and reference when writing texts for academic purposes.
Develop an understanding of the fundamental principles in the study of law and social sciences. You will explore elements of each of the subject groupings as well as identify and learn key vocabulary and terminology pertinent to the fields of law and social sciences.
