Teaching & Learning

 

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic we are currently unable to advise on the mode of teaching for September 2021, however we will keep you updated and provide more information as soon as we can. We continue to follow government guidance and your teaching and learning will reflect the restrictions in place at the time of delivery. We currently anticipate that you may experience a blended approach – this is a mix of face-to-face, on campus and online teaching and learning. You can keep up to date with teaching and learning at Leeds Beckett via our Covid-19 website. Updated course specifications will be available in August 2021. What you'll learn

We will introduce you to the key processes, tools, techniques and issues associated with project management. Emphasis will be placed on the project lifecycle, the role of the project manager, and legal, ethical and global issues.
You will justify, plan design, build, test and evaluate a significant product to a professional standard, as well as reflecting on your own performance.
An opportunity to explore the support systems of information management and the accountant's contribution in providing relevant information for decision-making and corporate control.
Examine the impact of engineering control on processes and systems. You will investigate the theory, design and implementation of computer controlled industrial systems.

Develop your understanding of the simulation tools available to an engineer to take a design from a concept to market. This will include 3D modelling, discreet event simulation and carbon foot print investigation.
