How to apply
Applying for your accommodation is simple.
01 Accept your offer
This is the first exciting step in your student experience journey!
02 Look for accommodation
03 Your welcome email
If your booking period has opened (usually mid-late Feb), you will receive an email advising you about accommodation along with your user ID. This should be within 48 hours of accepting your offer at Leeds Beckett (if applying through UCAS please note Leeds Beckett needs to be your firm choice institution). If booking hasn’t opened yet, we will email you within 48 hours of opening.
04 Choose your accommodation
Your welcome email will prompt you to create an account and password on our accommodation system. When room booking opens you will be able to log in and book the hall and specific room of your choice.
05 Get the perfect fit
Once you've decided on the perfect hall and room for you, you can also input basic information about yourself to help you get a great match with your future flatmates.
06 Confirm your booking
The final stage is to read and sign the licence agreement, which is the legal contract for your accommodation. Depending on which halls you intend to call home, at this point you may also pay a £200 advanced rent payment. For more information on the booking process for your specific accommodation take a look at Your Contract Explained.
What if I want to cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking before you move in for any reason at no cost to you. Your deposit will be returned to you within 28 days.
If you decide you want to leave after you have moved in then you are still responsible for the rent on the room. This means you will either keep paying for the room or will need to find someone to take over the contract. There are situations when you might be released from your contract so speak to the Accommodation team to get the best advice.
