Leeds Anchor Network
The Leeds Anchors network brings together organisations rooted in the city who make a major contribution to the local economy. The network allows us to collaborate with other like-minded partners to increase the benefits that we bring to our city by creating high-quality job opportunities, enhancing the skills of local people, and encouraging local spending and services, each contributing to the economic and inclusive growth of the region.
We look forward to continuing our work with community partners across the city, aligning our services to effectively support local needs, and allowing our students, graduates, and staff to come together and bring benefit to the communities in the areas of Leeds that are most in need.
Our impact
Since 1824, Leeds Beckett has been a key pioneer of progress, education and innovation, working with partners to answer the region’s most pressing needs for economic growth, employment, skills, health and wellbeing.
Ongoing collaborations include Leeds Law School’s law clinic, which offers free legal advice, ensuring the disadvantaged communities in Leeds have access to legal representation, and the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools which offers learning programmes and evidence-based solutions to support teachers in contributing to improving the mental health of school children in Leeds and the wider region.
The Anchor Network continues to work on helping Leeds thrive and become an increasingly successful place to live, study and invest, setting it on a path of shared community values and prosperity.
