Win £10,000 Pump Prime Funding to Progress Your Medical Technology: Dragons’ Den Style

Grow MedTech is inviting applications for up to £10,000 to support the development of a commercially inspired medical technology innovation, through our Pump Prime Funding Competition.

Successful shortlisted applicants will have the opportunity to pitch their proposal at the Grow MedTech Annual Conference on 6 December 2019 in a “Dragons’ Den” style session where a panel of experts, patient representatives and audience votes will decide which project is funded.

Translate MedTech Secondment Opportunities

If you’re a PhD student, post-doctoral researcher, or academic you can also benefit from the Translate training programme, secondments, and mentoring schemes, as well as receiving support for early stage ideas.

Translate MedTech has funding to support up to 10 secondments to enable researchers to temporarily take up a role in a complementary organisation, or host a clinician, healthcare provider, or collaborator from industry or academia.

We can provide:

  • Guidance and advice pre-application
  • Help identifying a placement suited to your needs
  • An introduction to academics in other institutions
  • Contact with clinicians
  • Help to identify an industry specialist

Up to £2500 to cover the cost of travel and accommodation

Calling All Students: Free Pizza and the Chance to Win £1,000

Over the weekend of 11th–13th October, students are invited to enter our hackathon focussing on innovation in health services.

You will work in multi-disciplinary teams to come up with novel solutions and prototypes, and present to a panel of industry and institutional leaders. The winning team will receive a £1,000 prize!

You can join as teams or as individuals, and mentors will be available throughout the event to support and advise. Student teams will have 24/7 access to the Leslie Silver library over the weekend and there will be refreshments & pizza in true hackathon style!
