The Innovation Conference 2020 'Innovating in Times of Crisis' hosted by The International Society for Professional Innovation Management (ISPIM) is a three-day virtual event that brings together world-renowned experts on innovation management. Researchers from universities across the world, managers, businesses and 33 global thought leaders share insights on innovation management hot topics. These include over 250 presentations and 25 participatory workshops over the three days.

This year, due to the Covid-19, the annual conference transferred its programme to online - a major feat and an increasing trend in the conference sector. Four final year students from the UK Centre for Events Management (UKCEM) have been selected by ISPIM's CEO Iain Bitran to work with his team in managing over 500 delegates from 50 countries in this ambitious and prestigious event.

"The ISPIM conference has been great to work on. The success of the conference has not just highlighted the importance of events, it has also proved how innovative and adaptable the industry is. Every day has been filled with up to five hours of conversing with different people around the world allowing for brilliant networking opportunities and discussing the current pandemic from completely different viewpoints. I’ve found it really interesting!" Annaliese Hesketh (Student at UK Centre for Events Management)

"I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with ISPIM on their virtual conference this year as a session supporter. Experience in virtual events is vital for the future of the events industry and it is great to also expand my network." Georgia Burrows (Student at UK Centre for Events Management)
