Tell us about what got you into cycling.

I only recently started working at Leeds Beckett University and as part of my role I need to travel often between campuses. I was considering my options (e.g. Car/bus) when I spotted on the news section of the intranet that an electric bike was available for use.

I liked the idea of travelling by bike but did not want the issues that come generally with cycling (i.e. overheating from exertion especially on warmer days) so decided to give the electric bike a shot. The bike was easier to use than I thought and I have found this option really useful, as long as the weather is suitable it is now my preferred option.

What is it you particularly like about the pool electric bike and why would you recommend it to your colleagues?

It usually takes around 15 minutes to travel between campuses which is quicker and more fun than the bus!

What are the things to be aware of when cycling in the city in your opinion?

Traffic, to be fair I have not come across any major problems. However, when not in a dedicated cycle lane you need to be a little more aware of your surroundings.

How would you describe your experiences with cycling in one word?
