For over 20 years, Leeds Business School has presented this key lecture in the region’s business calendar.
Alex will present the latest economic update and outlook for our region, due to be released in February 2022, at what will be one of the most interesting points in recent times. How is the economy performing during the ongoing the pandemic? and what are the prospects for inflation and interest rates?
Alex will be introduced by John Bullock, Head of Regional Banking Yorkshire, with Virgin Money. Virgin Money and Yorkshire Bank before have a long standing association with Leeds Beckett University and this annual economic prospects lecture.
From Leeds Business School, Olga Munroe will be fielding questions from those attending for Alex.

Alex Golledge was appointed Agent for Yorkshire and Humber in November 2020, having joined the Bank’s Agency network in 2010 as Deputy Agent for the South East and East Anglia. Alex started his career at the Bank in 1998 and has worked in a number of analytical areas prior to joining the network, including roles in Monetary Analysis, Markets and Statistics.
John Bullock is Head of Regional Banking, Yorkshire at Virgin Money, serving the SME and Corporate Banking marketplace across the region. Previously Director – Corporate and Structure Finance at Yorkshire Bank, John has been in banking for almost 20 years.
