Katie, driven by her passion for Feminist Art, took the initiative to engage with The Guerrilla Girls, resulting in a collaboration that resulted in this exciting exhibition. The showcase challenges conventional narratives and ignites discussions on feminism.
White Column is the fine art student gallery based at Broadcasting Place at Leeds. The window gallery is free and open to the public. It offers a unique opportunity for art enthusiasts and the community to engage with thought-provoking artwork and participate in important conversations surrounding feminism and social justice.
The Guerrilla Girls are anonymous artist activists who since 1985 use disruptive headlines to expose gender and ethnic bias and corruption in art, film, politics, and culture. They believe in an intersectional feminism that fights for human rights for all people and have done hundreds of projects all over the world.
