Double celebration for Leeds Beckett at sector marketing awards
Leeds Beckett University is celebrating after picking up two awards at the annual HEIST Awards which recognise marketing excellence in the higher education sector.
The University scooped the gold award in the best low budget initiative category, and won bronze for the best undergraduate prospectus.
Deborah Green, Director of Marketing at Leeds Beckett, said: “We are thrilled that our work has been recognised by sector experts in this way and it was a very proud moment for our Marketing Service. Our customer-focused approach is central to what we do and research and insight was key in both of the projects that have been recognised.”
The best low budget initiative award was for a campaign aimed at improving applicant communications for undergraduate students joining Leeds Beckett in 2015. The digital campaign was driven by extensive market research and included a review and improvement of all applicant communications to ensure a personalised approach.
The award comes on the back of the University achieving the Customer Service Excellence (CSE) standard for a further three years. An impressive nine areas of particular strength, or ‘compliance plus’, were noted by the assessor, including the University’s approach to personalised communications.
The HEIST Awards are organised by international marketing agency Havas People to recognise and celebrate the professionalism, expertise and innovation found in the further and higher education marketing sector.
