Leeds Beckett opens doors to students of the future
The open day, held across both the city and Headingley Campuses of Leeds Beckett - previously Leeds Metropolitan University – runs from 9am to 4pm and is open to anyone interested in studying at the University.
The open day is an opportunity to find out more about the courses on offer at the University, take part in tours of campus and of the specialist learning facilities for relevant courses such as the recording studios, performing arts studios and clinical skills suite, and visit examples of University accommodation.
Speaking about the open day, Deborah Green, Director of Marketing at Leeds Beckett, said: “We are well known for our customer focused and friendly approach here at Leeds Beckett and we know that our future students find it invaluable to visit our campuses and speak to tutors and specialist advisers in person, as well as meeting our current students. Our open day allows students and their parents to get a taste of all that university life has to offer and to explore our wonderful city.”
Experts in fees and finance will be on hand to answer questions from prospective students and their parents who can also discover how to earn while they learn using the university’s in-house employment agency.
Visitors will also have the chance to find out about the opportunities available to students at Leeds Beckett outside of the classroom, such as Students’ Union’s clubs & societies, work placements and the extensive programme of international volunteering opportunities.
