Taking part in a fitness class is a great way to keep fit!Classes are open to anyone of any ability and cover all areas of fitness including:
- Cardiovascular and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
- Strength & Power
- Holistic & Martial Arts
- Toning & Conditioning.
From BoxFit to Zumba, Body Tone to Yoga, we offer a wide variety of fitness classes to help you with your fitness and wellbeing.
Classes run at both campuses at various times throughout the week. Classes are free for members or £4/£4.50 for non members.

In partnership with the Up & Running store in Headingley, Leeds Beckett provide students, staff and community members the opportunity to join our FREE recreational running club. Sessions take place every Wednesday evening from beginning of September to the end of July (excluding Christmas and Easter holidays).
The group is open to runners of all abilities, with particular focus on beginners through to intermediates. The group is led by two qualified Run Leaders, whose aim is to make you enjoy the session and get the most out of running.
Beginners tend to run a distance of approximately 3 miles, at a pace of around 11-12 minutes per mile. Intermediates tend to cover a distance of around 3-6 miles with a 10 minute mile pace.

The group meets on Wednesdays at 6pm at Carnegie Sports Centre, Headingley Campus, with free parking and shower facilities available if needed.
