Lacrosse is frequently cited as the fastest sport on two feet, and has a rapidly expanding pool of student players, who take up the sport at University. Originating from Native Americans, the team sport uses sticks to manoeuvre a small rubber ball between players in order to score past a goalkeeper. The rules of mens' and womens' lacrosse vary greatly, with mens' seeing full contact and with that, a range of protective equipment, and womens' being semi-contact.
