Dr Thadeu Miranda Gasparetto

Thadeu Gasparetto is a Senior Lecturer in Sport Business.

Thadeu is a former Associate Professor in the Department of Management at National Research University Higher School of Economics (Saint Petersburg, Russia), Research Fellow at International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy (IDLab/HSE), and Coordinator of the 'Sports Analytics' Track in the Master program in 'Management and Analytics for Business' in the same institution.

Thadeu has a PhD degree in Education, Sport and Health (Sports Economics) at the University of Vigo (Spain) with an exchange period at Birkbeck, University of London (UK), a Master degree in Sports Business Management at University of Vigo (2014), and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education at Federal University of Juiz de Fora (2012).

Thadeu is currently a member of the International Association of Sports Economists, and former member of the European Association for Sport Management and the Brazilian Association for Sport Management.

Thadeu's research interest lies on Sports Economics and Management, focusing on economic aspects of professional sports.

Research Interests

Thadeu is a researcher in the field of Sports Economics and Management, with a specialized focus on areas such as behavioural economics, competitive balance, demand for sports, discrimination, labour market, and sport league design. He has a proven track record of publishing in esteemed academic journals, including the Journal of Sports Economics, European Sport Management Quarterly, International Journal of Sport Finance, Managerial and Decision Economics, Sport in Society, among others.
