Kat is module leader for Level 4 Fashion Forecasting and Level 5 Fashion Trend Analysis on BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing. She has extensive industry experience in digital marketing, social media and writing and has a keen interest in developing students’ confidence and nurturing their individual interests which will lead them to their dream career within the industry once they graduate.

Kat has extensive industry experience in the digital marketing/social media/ content creation sector, having worked in the fashion industry for several years with brands such as ASOS and freelance through her own Instagram platform. She is also a keen writer with an interest in fashion, current affairs and women’s rights. Her research area focuses on magazine publishing and its cohesion with digital content. She is particularly interested in Print Media and Augmented Reality and how they can work alongside each other to enhance a reader’s experience. She made the career progression into academia and teaching in 2020 and has a passion for nurturing students’ interest in fashion and preparing them for working in industry once they graduate.

Research Interests

Kat’s research focuses on the benefits of Print Media and how Augmented Reality can be the bridge between Print Media and Digital offerings and therefore sustain the print publishing industry going forward. She is currently developing her research ideas on the ‘Hybrid Publishing Model’.
