Sinead Coleman

Lecturer

Sinead is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse - School Nurse and V100 community nurse prescriber. She is currently the programme leader for Specialist Community Public Health Nursing - School Nursing PGDip.

Sinead has worked with communities in a public health nursing capacity since qualifying as an adult nurse, and has predominantly worked as a SCPHN - School Nurse and progressed to become a 0-19 dual qualified practitioner in both Health Visiting and School Nursing. She has also worked within secure settings for children and young people and within a Youth Offending Institute as a Primary Care lead.

Sinead joined the university in 2020 and is the programme leader for the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing- School Nursing PGDip, although works across Health Visiting, District Nursing and BSc Adult and Mental Health Nursing. She is also currently working with the 0-19 Research Network, CRN Yorkshire and Humber, and the Institute of Health Visiting to support and develop research capacity within the local 0-19 workforce.
