This module aims to allow you to develop autonomy in your professional and academic development in a specific area of practice identified by the you and/or your employer. You are able to gain academic credit for work based learning through the development of a learning contract and academic supervision.

The learning outcomes for this module are agreed with their academic supervisor and must be appropriate to the level and the amount of credit sought. In each case the student will be required to develop a learning contract outlining a project or practice development that reflects professional and/or personal learning needs and makes a contribution to practice.

N.B. This module can be undertaken as either a 20 credit or 40 credit module.

Delivered via a blended approach that includes online teaching and learning, digital learning and on campus sessions. If a further lockdown is necessary then delivery will be continued and supported via online and digital learning. We therefore require you to have access and the ability to MS Teams.

Career Opportunities:

Students from all our courses and modules may have the opportunity of increased promotion prospects and the ability to take on developmental and specialist roles in a range of health and social care settings. The credits you gain from the module can be used for further study - towards a degree or masters programme.
