Degree apprenticeships

Attract new talent and up-skill existing staff

Students at welcome week

Degree apprenticeships combine full-time work with studying for a bachelors or masters degree qualification. This exciting model enables apprentices to gain an in-depth understanding of their subject area and sector, whilst developing professional skills and practically applying their academic learning in the workplace. For employers, apprenticeships provide a targeted and cost-effective opportunity to develop both new talent and your existing workforce with skills and expertise tailored to your company's requirements.

Accreditation

Our degree apprenticeship provision has been rated ‘good’ by Ofsted in all of the five categories. The inspectors praised the professionalism of our colleagues, the outstanding training and support we offer students and staff, our commitment to equality and diversity, the strong partnerships we forge with employers, and the way we have supported students during the cost of living crisis.

National apprenticeship week

Beginning on Monday 9th February, this annual national week of celebration gives an opportunity for all those involved in Leeds Beckett University's Degree Apprenticeship community the chance to reflect on the achievements of our apprentices and to show how valuable apprenticeships can be.

Our Degree Apprenticeships team are supporting National Apprenticeship Week in a variety of ways:

Hosting an Employer and Apprentice Information Session online on Tuesday 10 February. Reserve your spot at the virtual event.

Supporting our partners Leeds City Council Employment and Skills Team by exhibiting at Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair/#LARF26 at Leeds Arena on Wednesday 11 February

Introducing a bespoke Teams background profiling National Apprenticeships Week and carrying a QR code. This makes it easy for employers to register their interest to take on a new apprentice or develop an existing member of staff to start an apprenticeship in the next year

We are really looking forward to supporting National Apprenticeship Week this year and in particular attending Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair. Last year there were over 11,000 students, parents and guardians all interested in finding out more about our programmes and how they work.
