#WECAN announce 2022 dates for fully funded leadership and management courses for women in the Leeds City Region
The three-year #WECAN (Women Empowered through Coaching and Networking) project aims to enhance the resilience and growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by building the leadership skills, capabilities, and opportunities of women in the Leeds City Region.
The project, part funded by the European Social Fund with support from the Department of Work and Pensions offers funded support and training to eligible businesses and their women employees, enabling women to progress into and within leadership roles.
#WECAN offer the following fully funded ILM accredited courses to eligible businesses enrolled on the project:
ILM Level 2 Leadership and Team Skills
ILM Level 3 Leadership and Management
ILM Level 3 Effective Coaching
Courses are delivered by a team of academics and professional development specialists from the Leadership Centre within Leeds Business School
ILM Level 2 Leadership and Team Skills
Ideal for a new or aspiring leader, this programme will provide you with the core leadership and management skills to implement within your own team and workplace.
One cohort is currently scheduled for 2022 on 19 January 2022
ILM Level 3 Leadership and Management
Ideal for those who have leadership and management responsibilities but no formal training, this programme will help you build your skills and knowledge to lead, organise and motivate teams.
Four cohorts are currently scheduled for 2022 with the following start dates 18 January 2022, 7 March 2022, 27 April 2022, 9 June 2022.
ILM Level 3 Effective Coaching
Ideal for those who may already be in a leadership role and wish to support others, this programme will provide you with the tools and techniques needed to effectively coach.
Three cohorts are currently scheduled for 2022 with the following start dates 19 January 2022, 15 March 2022 and 7 September 2022.
Since courses launched in July this year, over 60 women have enrolled on a course.
Lucy Todd, Digital Lead at TDP Consulting in Halifax, recently completed the Level 3 Leadership and Management course. Lucy said “#WECAN has given me the opportunity to clearly determine my preferred leadership style. It has also, through the course sessions and masterclasses, taught me to use other leadership styles and behaviours to adapt to varying situations.
