Sir bob murray cbe scholarship

Chancellor Sir Bob Murray CBE gifts five scholarships of £1,000 each year

Sir Bob has funded scholarships at Leeds Beckett since 2012 as a testament to the transformative power of a university education. The Sir Bob Murray CBE Scholarships are awarded to students following in Sir Bob’s footsteps, studying accounting or finance related courses. And who, like Sir Bob, are from the North of England. The aim is to ensure that talented students are given an opportunity to succeed.

Sir Bob Murray CBE qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant from our university   in 1972. He is a leading businessman and philanthropist with an enduring passion for education and football. Sir Bob was awarded an honorary doctorate by our university in 2008, before being installed as Chancellor in January 2013.
