Staying in Halls Over the Holidays
Living in student halls is a great experience, providing you with a sense of community and all the conveniences you need. Did you know that you don't have to leave your halls during the Christmas and Easter breaks?
If you’d rather stay on campus, you can! Your accommodation license agreement covers these holiday periods, so there’s no pressure to pack up and go home unless you want to.
Your Licence Agreement
First things first, it's important to note your accommodation licence agreement is for a continuous period. This means you don’t have to leave your room during the Christmas and Easter breaks if you’d rather stay. This can be helpful for international students, those with work commitments, or anyone who just prefers to stay on campus. It’s your home, after all!
Support and Resources
For anyone choosing to stay in halls over the holidays, remember you’re not alone. The Res Life team and your Halls team are here to support you, whether you’re feeling a bit lonely, need some help, or just want to hang out. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any concerns or just want someone to chat with.
Encouraging Community and Connection
Staying in halls over the holidays can be a great chance to bond with other students who are also sticking around. You'll often find events and activities organised by us or the Halls teams to make sure everyone has a fun and memorable time. So take advantage of these opportunities to meet new friends and create some memories.
