Important information

We have taken the difficult decision to postpone our 2021 July graduation ceremonies. Given the government’s current timetable for easing restrictions, including those for large scale events, it is simply not possible for the university to hold an in-person graduation ceremony for the class of 2021 this summer. Please be assured, this is a postponement not a cancellation.

The reason for the postponement is because we cannot be sure it will be lawful or safe to hold a series of indoor events for so many people, coming from all over the world. If restrictions are lifted in June this year, we will not have sufficient lead time to organise such a complex event.

It is important that your email contact information is up to date, so that we can invite you to graduation when the time comes. Please also keep a copy of your student ID number as you will need this to register for your graduation in the future.

If you have completed your course and no longer have access to your student email:

  1. Contact your school
  2. Make sure your personal email address and postal address is correct

If you are still studying, you can update your details on My Beckett:

  1. Log into My Beckett
  2. Select the My account tab at the top of the screen
  3. Select Welcome System (Update my data)
  4. Make sure your personal email address and postal address is correct

CLASS OF 2021

All eligible students who complete their degree requirements will still become graduates of Leeds Beckett University and will be invited to attend a face-to-face graduation ceremony in the future when it is safe to do so. We will send your certificate to your home address so please make sure that your address is correct and up to date on MyBeckett.

In addition to inviting you to a graduation ceremony in the future, we are also planning a large online celebration and smaller in-person events for this summer to help provide students and our academic colleagues with opportunities to celebrate success. We will share those details as soon as we are able.

CLASS OF 2020

We know how important graduation is and we do intend to schedule graduation ceremonies once we are confident it is safe to do so. We will continue to provide updates about graduation ceremonies when we can on these web pages and via email.
