Junior Taster Day - Halloween Special

Children can come along and take part in American Football, Athletics, Squash and Family Tennis sessions delivered by our student coaches at the university’s Headingley Campus sports centre.

Our student coaches are fully qualified, friendly and are proud members of the university’s Leadership Academy. The Leadership Academy aims to inspire young people to become coaches and future leaders to help make a difference in their communities through the power of sport.

The students coach more than 100 children weekly as part of the university’s Carnegie Junior Sports Academy, which gives children the opportunity to have fun through physical activity in a safe and structured environment.

American Football

• U16’s & 19’s contact session 10:30-12:00pm
• U11 & 14’s flag session 11:00 -12.30pm

Athletics

• Ages 8-10 12:00 – 13:00
• Ages 11+ 13:00 – 14:30

Squash 

• Ages 8-10 10:00 – 11:00
• Ages 11+ 11:00 – 12:00 
• Open family session 12:00 – 13:00 

Tennis

• Open family session 11:00 – 13:00
