In 2023, I moved to the United Kingdom to study and work as a Receptionist Manager at the High Bank Hotel in Leeds and a Sports Coach at PE Partners Ltd. After finishing my education, I returned to India and began working as a Business Development Manager for Finstreets, a fintech startup. Along with that, I was looking for work in the sports industry and learned about TransStadia, a sports university that were recruiting for lecturers for their Sports Management Program. So I applied and was chosen for the position.
What were the highlights of your course?
I gained a better understanding of social justice, equity, and inclusion issues in sport because of this training. Another highlight of the school was learning research skills, which helped me get my position because they were looking for someone who knew how to read and analyse data. It helped me understand my own abilities and how I might apply my theoretical knowledge in real life.

Leeds Beckett University helped me gain a better understanding of the global sports sector. The confidence and leadership skills that I gained at Leeds Beckett helped me gain interview calls from variety of companies, including visa counselling, sportswear sales, and a sports university, but I chose to work at a sports university because it was my dream job to develop sports professionals who could eventually build a good community.

Ahmedabad, a city in India where I currently live, is preparing to host the Olympic Games in 2036. I've already contacted the person in charge so I'm waiting for them to list the vacancies and I hope to secure a role. It would be an amazing opportunity.
