Events
Check out the events taking place across the university as part of International Women's Day.
Have you thought about trying strength training? Take a free, female-only introductory session on the fundamentals of strength training with a qualified coach. Sessions are running from Tuesday 7 March - Friday 10 March at the Carnegie Sports Centre on Headingley Campus.
The Centre for Social Justice in Sport and Society Research Centre, based in Carnegie School of Sport, are hosting a research showcase open to researchers from across the university engaged in related topics.
A session that looks at the influence of gender and how men and women communicate differently, and explores the communication styles of women in depth so that we can all make an impact at work.
Take part in an interactive session where women with a range of experiences of strength activity will share their experiences and enjoyment of strength training in its broadest sense, before listening to author Triona Holden discuss her book 'An Iron Girl in a Velvet Glove' which tells the story of feminist icon Joan Rhodes.
LEEDS 2023 are looking for women and non-binary people from across West Yorkshire to build a barn this May in just 24 hours.
