Coronavirus Webinar: Your HR and Employment Law Questions Answered

Leeds Law School, in conjunction with the Collaborative Professionals Network, is delighted to be hosting Jodie Hill, Managing Partner of Thrive Law, to answers questions about the law and HR practice in the light of COVID-19.

On 23 March 2020, the Prime Minister announced that the UK was going into lockdown. Only those with ‘key worker’ status or those unable to work from home, are permitted to leave the confines of their homes and travel to work. All non-essential businesses are closed and this has had a dramatic effect on employees around the country. Whilst some have been able to transition from the office to working from home, many have been furloughed with others losing their jobs altogether. When the current crisis is over we will be living in a very different world, where the full effects of the lockdown and the economic impact will become clear.

Many of these changes have an employment law aspect to them and the following will be covered by Jodie in this webinar:
• Home working
• Furlough
• Mental health at work
• Health and safety
• Changes to sick pay
