The school is hosting the Psychology and Women and Inequalities Section (POWES) of the British Psychology Society (BPS) on Monday 9 March.  The aims of POWES are:-

  • to address gender issues and inequalities in the psychology curriculum

  • to facilitate and develop feminist and emancipatory research, theory and practice

  • to influence public policy in areas such as equal rights, parenting, and employment

Please book your place

09.00 – 17.00, Portland Lifts

The Psychology Team are running the Feminism in the Lift event in one of Portland lifts from 9am – 5pm.

Now its 5th year, the idea is to fill the lift with messages of feminist rage. Please join us on the day and tell us what makes you angry as a woman, as a feminist or somebody who disagrees with sexism.  If you’re unable to join us in person join the conversation on twitter #FEMLIFT.

Find out about other activity taking place across the university to celebrate International Women’s Day.
