Under the guidance of a dedicated dissertation supervisor/coach, both the proposal and the dissertation are meticulously developed. This comprehensive and rigorous project allows you to engage in transformative, in-depth research and academic writing within a self-selected area related to coaching, mentoring, wellbeing, learning and people development, leadership, and/or governance. This process provides a platform for you to demonstrate your knowledge and originality in applying theory and data collection techniques to business research, ultimately leading to the production of a scholarly thesis that reflects profound insights and transformative outcomes.

Coaching offers a supportive environment where individuals can deeply reflect on the implications of their decisions and actions. This process helps them gain clarity and make informed choices that align with their goals and values, empowering them to make a real difference in their world.

Our programme aims to take you on a journey through different domains of reflective learning, progressively moving towards reflexive practice and viewing through an emancipatory lens. To become a transformative coach, it is crucial to model both the form and function of the critical reflection paradigm. We actively guide you through three domains of reflective learning, with a focus on increasing reflexive practice and embracing an emancipatory perspective. We not only deliver skills, models, and knowledge but also foster a deep understanding of your capacity to learn in relationship with others and to make sense of your experiences, both past and present.

We fully embrace the transformative nature of coaching. Our commitment to a learning approach that values relational and sense-making aspects sets us apart. By emphasizing critical reflection, we encourage you to engage with your learning in a profound and self-aware manner, empowering you to make a positive contribution to the world.
