The Leeds Society of Architects, in partnership with Leeds Beckett University, Leeds Civic Trust, and RIBA, is thrilled to announce the return of the highly anticipated 4 X 4 talk series in February 2026.

Each evening will be hosted by four expert chairs, guiding thought-provoking Q&A sessions with our brilliant speakers. With inspiring talks and vibrant discussions, this is the perfect opportunity to engage with cutting-edge ideas, connect with industry professionals, and be part of an exciting, growing community.

The programme , featuring an exceptional line-up of 16 expert speaker on the basis of four expert speakers delve into the fascinating relationship between the Built Environment, Architecture, Development and Community, exploring their relationship with how they shape People & Place in the City of Leeds and beyond.

  • P+HS Architects talking about their work as part of the New Hospital Programme (NHP) framework agreement for Yorkshire.
  • James Hartley (Latch Charity) talking about the brilliant work the charity does in the city.
  • Guy Smith (Bauman Lyons) talking about the RIBA Award Winning Hull Minster Project.
  • Keith Andrews (Senior Lecture at Leeds School of Architecture) talking about St Chad’s Cricket Pavilion in Headingley

About the event 

This year’s event will be held in person and free, we’d love to see as many in attendance as possible, please reserve a spot so we can keep track of the number of attendees.

Due to the venue’s updated policy, we will not be able to stream the events, so don’t miss your chance to experience this amazing event live

Please arrive promptly by 5:45pm, as the first speaker is due to begin at begin at 6:15pm. The evening will conclude between 8:15-8:30pm, followed by networking at the bar at Lower Ground Floor until 9:45-10:00pm.
