After a successful seminar at Middle East Technical University (METU), Turkiye which is one of the outcomes of the “Research Network Initiative for AI-Driven BIM For Circularity in Construction (CIREN-AI)” project.
The project is seeking to advance the knowledge of AI in built environment research and practice with a focal area of BIM and circular economy. The seminar will deliver contemporary topics and training on: Generative AI application in cost management, Digitalisation in construction, The future of BIM and AI, Carbon-neural architecture, and BIM, and 5D BIM demonstration through CostX.
Speakers
Dr Temitope Omotayo is a Senior Quantity Surveying Lecturer in the School of Built Environment, Environment and Computing, Leeds Beckett University, and the Futures of Systems, People and Projects (FUSP) lab leader. He has a PhD in Construction and Project Management from the University of Salford, UK and an MSc in Quantity Surveying (Mechanical and Electrical) from the University above. He is a Chartered Construction Management (MCIOB), a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a Full Member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM).
Professor Ali Murat Tanyer works in the Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture at the Middle East Technical University, Turkey.
Professor Sam Zulu is a Professor of Construction and Project Management and the Postgraduate Research Coordinator in the School of Built Environment, Engineering and Computing.
Sam is also a Senior Research Associate at the University of Johannesburg’s Centre for Applied Research + Innovation in the Built Environment (CARINBE). He has previously worked at Nottingham Trent University (UK) and Copperbelt University (Zambia) as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in quantity surveying. Prior to joining academia, he worked as a quantity surveyor for a chartered quantity surveying practice. He is a chartered builder (MCIOB), chartered quantity surveyor (MRICS), Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), and holds a BSc in Building Science, an MSc in Constriction Project Management and a PhD in Construction Project Management.
