Alex Golledge, the Bank of England’s Agent for Yorkshire will join us to discuss the Bank’s latest Monetary Policy Report due to be published in early February 2026. This quarterly report provides the Bank’s most up-to-date economic analysis and inflation projections, which inform interest rate decisions.
We’re delighted to welcome Alex back for another off-the-record, informative update, where he will explain the Monetary Policy Committee’s recent decisions and share insights on inflation, growth, pay, and employment.
For over 20 years, the Leeds Business School Economic Prospects Lecture is one of the region’s most anticipated business events. Alex Golledge was appointed Agent for Yorkshire and Humber
in November 2020, having joined the Bank’s Agency network in 2010 as Deputy
Agent for the South East and East Anglia. Alex started his career at the Bank
in 1998 and has worked in a number of analytical areas prior to joining the
network, including roles in Monetary Analysis, Markets and Statistics.
With
over 20 years’ experience in Corporate and Structured Finance, John leads
Virgin Money’s Strategic Finance team across Yorkshire and the North East. His
award-winning team delivers innovative funding solutions to SMEs, private
