Leeds Beckett University’s Business School are joined by Chris Silcock, Vice- President and Market Head of Kellogg’s United Kingdom and Ireland.
In this lecture, Chris will discuss how a growth mindset, as well as a culture of collaboration and cross-functional working has not only enabled effective crisis management, but has also set the business up for a stronger future.
Over the past three years, consumer goods supply chains have faced a once in a generation combination of challenges, from labour shortages, to logistics backlogs to dizzying levels of price inflation; all set against a backdrop of the Covid pandemic, Brexit and a rapidly shifting geopolitical landscape.
Chris will explore how Kellogg’s has navigated unprecedented challenges in the supply chain to emerge as a stronger business.
Chris Silcock is the Vice-President and Market Head of Kellogg’s United Kingdom and Ireland business.
Chris began his career at Kellogg’s in 2018, as UK sales director, having held several commercial roles at leading FMGC and food retail companies. He has also served as grocery channel director at Coca-Cola European Partners and started his career at British food retailer, ASDA.
At Kellogg’s Chris maintained the company’s position as one of Britain and Ireland’s most trusted brands. This includes work to help people make healthier choices by continuing to reduce sugar and salt in its foods.
His tenure has seen Kellogg’s address sustainability, including pledging to half its food waste and committing to ensuring all its packaging is reusable, recyclable or compostable by 2025.
Under his leadership, Kellogg’s has continued to tackle hunger by funding school breakfast clubs and food banks, supporting communities across Britain and Ireland.
