Mariano Bueno Marcondes Ferraz was born in São Paulo, Brazil and graduated in Biomedicine from the State University of Londrina. It was here he began his work with food, working with fungi and mycotoxins in coffee and corn.
During his 18-year career, he worked at the ITAL Food Technology Institute, the State University of Campinas UNICAMP, and the Nestlé Group where he worked in Quality functions in laboratory, factory and research facilities. Currently he serves as R&D Senior Quality Specialist at Nestle Product Technology Centre in York, UK.
With a passion for sharing knowledge and raising awareness about the importance of critical thinking, Mariano has become a known figure in the industry. As the author of the book "Can you believe that? Myths and truths about food”, Mariano provides readers with an insightful exploration of common misconceptions surrounding food. His book navigates through the maze of myths, separating fact from fiction, and empowering readers to make informed decisions about food and form their own opinions.
