Teachers as artists A conference for teachersand artist educators

A half-day event for teachers, artists, and cultural partners interested in exploring and developing their creative pedagogies with children in primary schools. Rewilding the Curriculum is an in-person event that will take place at Leeds Beckett University, Headingley Campus. Everyone is welcome whether you are new to using drama and stories in schools or whether you are an experienced arts educator. Hear from teachers and senior leaders who successfully embed creative pedagogy across their curriculum.

Drawing from national and international research with teachers and artist educators we will:

  • Explore a range of culturally relevant drama pedagogies through practice-based workshops led by teachers and artists
  • Question how drama can activate learner wellbeing with a focus on democratic thinking, communication, oracy, socio-emotional literacy, conflict resolution, and critical thinking
  • Share whole school flexible curriculum and assessment models
  • Share impact research on these approaches to learning

Please reserve your place at this year's conference via the online store.
