Therefore, PROs are an essential contribution to the evaluation of new radiotherapy technologies. Before a longitudinal study was initiated, we developed a PRO pelvic item set and tested feasibility, usability and acceptance in a pilot study (n=40). Fourteen patients were interviewed to ensure that the integration of weekly symptom self-reports was acceptable and meaningful for patients attending daily radiotherapy for several weeks.

Pia Krause Møller is a PhD student, Master of Public Health and Clinical Nurse Specialist from Denmark. In the last 15 years, she has worked at the Department of Oncology at Odense University Hospital in Denmark.
In her PhD, she investigates the use of longitudinal patient-reported outcomes to evaluate the tolerability of new technology in radiation oncology. She is also part of the international SOFT study investigating MR-guided radiotherapy for soft-tissue oligometastases in cancer patients.
Pia is an editorial board member of the ESTRO Journal Technical Innovations and Patient Support in Radiation Oncology and a member of the Danish PRO Oncology Network Group (PRO ON). In addition, she teaches at the National Danish Radiation Therapy Education and communication courses for medical students at the University of Southern Denmark.
