Join the Centre for Applied Social Research (CeASR) who are hosting a symposium on social movements and activism.
The Centre for Applied Social Research (CeASR) is a university-wide research centre which orchestrates interdisciplinary research across the social sciences in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. This symposium will include:
- Welcome and introductions from Dr Emily Luise Hart, Leeds Beckett University
- A book launch of ‘Spycops: Secrets and Disclosure in the Undercover Policing Inquiry’ by Dr Raphael Schlembach, Principal Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Brighton.
- A panel discussion on Dr Schlembach's book with Dr Waqas Tufail, Leeds Beckett University, and Chris Brian from the Undercover Research Group
- A paper from Dr Joanna Gilmore, University of York, on 'Lawyers at the Coalface: Legal Solidarity and the 1984-5 Miners' Strike.
