Dr Robertico Croes focus is on Music festival production and how it is critical to small island destination image and tourism experience creation. The webinar centres on two music festivals, the Curacao North Sea Jazz Festival and the Aruba Soul Beach Music Festival and discusses the merits of these for tourism development.

Dr Robertico Croes is a Tourism Economics and Management professor at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida.

Dr Croes is the editor of the Rosen Research Review, and has authored four books, issued more than 100 published works, and emitted 30 industry reports.

His fifth book entitled Small island and small destination tourism: overcoming the smallness barrier for economic growth and tourism competitiveness is in print. He has written extensively about tourism development, competitiveness, poverty, and human development.

Dr Croes has produced numerous reports about music festivals in the Caribbean region and his research has been presented and applied in many countries, And is the recipient of multiple research awards including the 2015 and 2018 Thea Sinclair Awards.
