#WECAN: Get the most out of your team – How to build positive working relationships
#WECAN (Women Empowered through Coaching and Networking) project aims to enhance the resilience and growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by building the leadership skills, capabilities and opportunities of women in the Leeds City Region.

Positive relationships in the workplace not only make work more enjoyable but make you and your team more productive. So how do we build and maintain them?

In this session you will:

  • Define the meaning of positive working relationships
  • Consider strategies to implement in your work life
  • Discuss how the strategies can help you in a leadership role

Speaker

The session will be led by #WECAN Delivery Lead Kim Sanderson. Kim has over 25 years’ experience of teaching in further education. Kim currently works as a Programme Developer and Assessor at the Leadership Centre in Leeds Business School at Leeds Beckett University. Her role involves the design, delivery and assessment of leadership and management courses for businesses. Prior to joining Leeds Beckett University, she worked in the retail and further education sector and has experience of leading and managing teams in both.

The session will be hosted using MS Teams - a meeting link will be sent to you in advance.

WOMEN EMPOWERED THROUGH COACHING AND NETWORKING

#WECAN - Impact and Growth is a women's business network and strategic development programme. It is designed for women in business who want to grow - in confidence, in capability, in clarity, and in their ability to create impact in their work and personal lives. At the heart of the programme is a 12 month development series delivered by The Leadership Centre - Women Leading With Impact.

It is relevant for women at every stage of their life and career including those who are:

  • Leading teams or projects
  • Running early stage or more established businesses
  • Shaping their career direction
  • Building confidence or exploring what comes next
  • Wanting to develop their potential and might not see themselves as leaders
